Paper -Based IELTS Exam: (Paper -Based IELTS) The paper -based IELTS test is held four times a month. You can find the paper-based IELTS test dates on the calendar below. If you will take the test in Istanbul or Ankara, you can apply up to 24 hours before the test date. In other provinces, you must apply at least 6six days in advance.

GT = General Training: Used for Professional and Business Purposes

AC = Academic Training: Used for School Applications

You can take the test on paper or on a computer at one of the official testing centers. You can take IELTS Online (only available for IELTS Academic) from the comfort of your home or any private area with a stable internet connection. If you want to pay online, you only need a valid ID and a bank card.

What do you need during registration?

A valid ID (please note that only a valid passport or Turkish ID Cardcard is accepted). Ensure that the ID you enter into the system is the same one you will bring with you on the test day. Candidates who come to the test with an ID other than the one registered will not be allowed to enter the testing room.

Note: For the IELTS test, you must have a driving license, blue card, residence permit, work permit, expired ID or passport, or a Turkish ID without your photograph. It is not possible to enter with an ID document.

You can pay with your credit debit card through the online registration system. Alternatively, you can pay via bank transfer up to 10 days before your test day. Important Note: In online payments, banks can reflect the exchange rate differences that may occur in expenditures made on days or time periods when exchange rate fluctuations are high, to for their customers’ expenses. If you encounter such a situation, we recommend contacting your bank. This difference is not collected by the British Council. If you do not want to experience such a situation, you can complete your payment via bank transfer.

Since IELTS is an international exam, its payment may be subject to global payment terms. Therefore, if the card you use for online payments is open to transactions made in other currencies, your IELTS test payment may be reflected in different currencies on your credit card or bank account statement.
